What are you afraid of?
[Page 9 of The Paranoid Quiz]
All Americans are conditioned by external societal influences throughout their lives.
For instance, you would have turned out different if you had been brought up in a blue-collar household, compared to a Manhattan penthouse.
Or if you had lived as a street kid in LA, compared to as an Oklahoma farm kid.
External societal influences in a person’s life may include:
Parents, siblings, friends, intimate relationships, peers, mentors, schooling, social networks, individual and group interests, hobbies, activism, volunteering, news media, entertainment, advertisements, recreation, religion, the workplace, location, travel, scrapes with the law, illnesses, traumatic experiences, etc.
For the most part, you are what you have lived. Society conditions everyone.
